We have put together for you a list of some resources that you may need in the process of installing a fence.

Standard 'Notice of Fencing'
The 'Notice of Fencing' is a formal document that sets out your proposal for construction or repair of a dividing fence or other works. It includes information about:
- the boundary line on which the works should be carried out
- the type of works
- the contractor
- a cost estimate
- how much either of you should contribute
You can hand the Notice of Fencing to your neighbour personally but it is recommend to use registered post to show when the notice was sent and received.
Urgent 'Notice of Fencing'

An 'Urgent Notice of Fencing' is only used in the most extreme cases, such as where the fence has been destroyed by fire, flood or a fallen tree branch and requires immediate repair or replacement.
